2. Take the time to fill out a quick survey - Knowledge Media

Students from KMD 2002: Technologies for Knowledge Media have created a brief survey to help understand how best to develop an Academic Idea Repository. We would really appreciate if faculty and students (including alumni) took a moment to fill it out.

3. Stem Cell Match Needed for Jasmine Jadavji

Jasmine Jadavji is a normal 14 year old girl, who was diagnosed with leukemia last year. She has since received several chemotherapy treatments at Sick Kids hospital, but they are sadly not working as hoped. Thankfully, there is still hope for Jasmine and others like her. If we find a stem cell match for her soon, she can be rid of her cancer and live her life without any fear of being sick.
In order to find a compatible donor, we need as many people as possible to register with the Canadian Blood Services for their ONE MATCH Stem Cell and Marrow Network Program. Ideal donors are ethnically diverse males between the ages of 17 and 35, although others are also encouraged to register to become donors. The process is very simple and involves completing an online medical questionnaire and submitting a self-administered mouth swab that you receive in the mail and send back. You will then be contacted if there is a match.
You may be the match for which a patient and their family have been praying. Please take the time to 1) register yourself on onematch.ca now, and 2) send this information to anyone that you feel may be interested in becoming a donor (via email, facebook, etc.). You might be helping to save a life.
Please take the time to help by registering now and spreading the message.
